Tinipak River and Cave, Brgy. Daraitan, Tanay, Rizal, Philippines
Located near the metro is a sight very suitabe for your instagram worthy travel post. Everything that involves mountain and rivers can be done here in Brgy. Daraitan, Tanay, Rizal. The barangay is located in the foot of Mt. Daraitan which offers hiking, camping, Tinipak river trekking, and also Tinipak cave spelunking. With a lot of activities to do, I will just share our itinerary on Tinipak River and Tinipak Cave since we only did these activities due to time constraints.
So without further ado, here is our 4-Person Tinipak River and Cave Itinerary.
7am Meet up at Starmall Shaw UV Express Terminal
7am Ride a UV Express bound for Tanay Rizal (P100)
830am Arrival at Tanay
830am Rent a tricycle going to Brgy. Daraitan (P125)
10am Arrival at Brgy. Daraitan
10am Registration at the Brgy. Tourist Center
*Environmental Fee (P50)
*Hike Guide Fee (P125)
*Cave Headlights Rent fee (P50)
1030am Early Lunch in Turo-Turo/ Carenderia (P75)
11am Start Tinipak River Trek
12pm Arrival at the Tinipak River resting area
1230pm Tinipak Cave mini Spelunking
1pm Back to Tinipak River resting area
2pm back to Brgy, Tourist Center
330pm Rent Tricycle going back to Tanay (P125)
530pm Arrival at Tanay Rizal
530pm Ride a UV Express bound for Starmall Shaw (P100)

Warning and Tips
1. Wear sandals or hiking shoes.
2. Prepare for the long commute if you are opting for public transport.
3. Hike takes about an hour and half depending on your pace.
4. There are a lot of hikers along the way on weekends. If you want to have good photos and less tourists, opt for the weekdays.
5. Bring enough water and energy giving snacks.
6. The path is sometimes slippery and muddy.
7. Bring flashlight if you are going to Tinipak Cave
