FEATURE: ILOG'S SEAFOOD AND TALABA

Johna Talabahan, Ilog, Negros, Philippines
Back with another blog guys and this time I will be sharing one of my memorable adventures. This post is all about seafood and hint- I ate 3 big cups of rice because their dishes are just that appetizing and savory!.

Located in the South of Negros is a must-place to visit. Bocana is a mini community located in the coastal area of Ilog. It is home to the most appetizing 'talaba' (oysters) in the island. Most of my friends would usually talk about this and because of that my curiosity made me visit the place.

Found here is Johna Talabahan, a Seafood place which serves the freshest and big talaba I have seen. With a scenic view of the mangroves, this one will be a memorable experience. Nothing is better than eating the most appetizing and freshest seafoods whilst resting in the heart of a mini mangrove jungle.

The restaurants mainly serve these (listed down below) affordable dishes. Most of their dishes serve 3-4 persons.

Grilled Bangus - P150 per plate
Buttered Garlic Crabs - P500 per plate
Buttered Garlic Shrimps - P400 per plate
Talaba - P140 per basket

How to get there:

By Car: Drive down the south Negros highway up to Ilog town. Be on guard for the yellow kilometre reading block on the road side. As soon as you can see KM 99, ask the locals where Bocana talaba restos are located. It is a 10-15 min. Drive to the coastal area from the highway.

By Bus: Ride a Ceres Liner bus going to Sipalay City or Cauayan and tell the conductor to drop you off to Bocana Ilog where the talaba restos are. From the highway ride a tricycle going to the restos.

You may contact them at +639082825133 for reservations. I will be back here soon and I hope you can try this too.
